The Hainan Provincial Meteorological Bureau issued a Level 4 typhoon warning at 15:30 on October 24: Typhoon Trami is currently at tropical storm strength. At 14:00, its center was located at 17.0°N, 120.4°E, approximately 850 kilometers east-northeast of Yongxing Island, Sansha City, in the eastern South China Sea. Maximum sustained winds near the center reached Category 9 (23 meters per second).

It is forecast thatTrami will move westward at approximately 15 kilometers per hour while gradually intensifying, potentially reaching typhoon strength. Starting on the night of the 26th, Trami will linger over waters near the southeastern coast of Hainan Island and the Xisha Islands before gradually weakening.

From the night of the 24th to the 28th, the Xisha and Zhongsha Islands will experience cumulative rainfall of 300 to 400 millimeters, accompanied by gusts of 11 to 13 on the Beaufort scale. From the 26th to the 28th, Hainan Island will experience strong winds and heavy rain. Areas including Qionghai, Qiongzhong, and Wanning will see cumulative rainfall of 120 to 180 millimeters, with localized areas potentially reaching 220 millimeters. Other cities and counties will receive 80 to 120 millimeters of rain. Coastal areas in the eastern and southern parts of the island will experience winds of force 8 to 10, while other coastal regions will see winds of force 6 to 8.
