Typhoon Megi, the 23rd typhoon of the year, was located approximately 700 kilometers northeast of Yongxing Island, Sansha City, Hainan Province (18.5 degrees north latitude, 118.7 degrees east longitude) at 8:00 a.m. on the 12th. Maximum sustained winds near its center reached force 10 (25 meters per second), with a minimum central pressure of 985 hPa. The typhoon is moving northwestward at 10–15 kilometers per hour, gradually approaching the coastal areas from western Guangdong to eastern Hainan. It is expected to turn west-southwestward starting on the 14th, with its intensity gradually weakening. The Central Meteorological Observatory has issued a blue typhoon warning.

From 14:00 on the 12th to 14:00 on the 13th, the southwestern East China Sea, Taiwan Strait, Bashi Channel, northern South China Sea, and Xisha Islands will experience winds of force 6-8, with gusts reaching force 12-13 in some areas. Heavy rain is forecast for northeastern Taiwan. Guangdong meteorological authorities predict that starting on the 13th, the outer periphery of the typhoon will bring increased cloud cover, with light rain in eastern Guangdong and mostly cloudy conditions elsewhere. From the 14th to the 15th, the Pearl River Delta region will experience light to moderate rain, with locally heavy downpours.

Typhoon "Yingxian" made landfall near the coast of Vietnam, while Typhoons "Wan Yi" and "Tian Tu" are approaching in a west-southwest direction.

Typhoon No. 22, "Ginkgo," has weakened to a tropical depression and is located over the waters east of Vietnam, poised to make landfall. Typhoon No. 24, "Wan Yi," is moving west-southwestward and gradually intensifying. Typhoon No. 25, "Tian Tu," is approaching the waters east of the Philippines and is expected to further strengthen.
