According to the official measurement by the China Earthquake Networks Center, at 17:20 Beijing Time on December 26, 2024, a magnitude 3.1 earthquake occurred in Longmatan District, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province (29.05°N, 105.38°E), with a focal depth of 8 kilometers. The tremor was relatively mild but was felt by some residents in Longmatan District and surrounding areas.

As of now, no reports of casualties or property damage have been received locally. The Luzhou Municipal Government has promptly activated its emergency response plan, organizing relevant departments to conduct assessments and monitoring in the affected areas.
