At 4:49 a.m. on January 3, 2025, a partial collapse occurred at a building under renovation at No. 50 Youyi Road, Baoshan District, Shanghai. According to the Baoshan District Fire and Rescue Brigade, the collapse affected an area of approximately 50 square meters, trapping three individuals.

Following the incident, local authorities swiftly arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations. As of 10:27 a.m., two trapped individuals have been successfully rescued and transported to the hospital for treatment, with their vital signs currently stable. Search and rescue efforts for the remaining trapped person are ongoing, with on-site rescue teams working diligently to ensure safe operations.  

The cause of the incident is currently under investigation. The scene remains orderly, and all emergency response measures are proceeding in an orderly manner.
