According to information obtained by reporters from the Tengzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau,on May 5, 2025, public security authorities have taken criminal detention measures against suspect Cai Moumou (male, 29 years old, resident of Tengzhou City) for suspected drunk driving causing a major accident.

Upon investigation,at 16:05 on May 4, 2025, Cai Moumou was speeding northbound on Shanguo South Road when he attempted to overtake a vehicle from the right. The vehicle collided with an oncoming vehicle or a pedestrian on the roadside, resulting in two fatalities at the scene, four deaths after unsuccessful resuscitation efforts, and two injuries (none life-threatening). Following the incident, Cai Moumou was apprehended at the scene.

Public security authorities conducted a blood test on Cai Moumou, which revealed an alcohol content of129.7 mg/100 ml in his blood, ruling out the possibility of driving under the influence of drugs. Currently, the investigation and follow-up procedures for the case are ongoing.
