The China Earthquake Networks Center has officially determined:At 09:00 on May 16, 2025, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred in Yingjiang County, Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province (25.12°N, 98.13°E), with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.

The epicenter was located in the northeastern mountainous region of Yingjiang County, situated at the junction of the Tengchong-Longling seismic belt and the Myanmar Arc seismic belt, an area characterized by frequent tectonic activity.

According to the latest update from Yingjiang County's Publicity Department, no casualties or significant property damage have been reported thus far. Relevant authorities have initiated emergency response procedures and are conducting safety inspections of buildings and infrastructure in the affected areas.([Huaxia News Network][3]).
