Traditional contact rescue methods carry extremely high risks, as rescuers entering hazardous areas such as swift currents, ice surfaces, or unstable buildings are prone to secondary casualties. Additionally, manually thrown lifebuoys suffer from poor accuracy and an effective range of less than 30 meters, easily disrupted by wind and water currents. Manually deploying rope systems also suffers from response delays. During the Wenchuan earthquake rescue operations, the average deployment time was 25 minutes—far exceeding the survival threshold for hypothermia victims. Every second of delay could be life-threatening.

Life-saving throwers, as highly efficient, safe, and long-range rescue deployment devices, rapidly and accurately deliver flotation devices or lifelines to drowning victims or designated water areas via pneumatic, catapult, or electric mechanisms. This significantly enhances water rescue efficiency and safety standards.

The life-saving thrower primarily uses compressed air as its power source. By instantly releasing high-pressure air through the control mechanism, it generates a high-speed airflow to propel the projectile. To use, first connect the air cylinder to the launcher and secure the rescue line. After pressing the safety button, launch at an angle of approximately 35 degrees. Upon entering the water, the water rescue buoy automatically inflates within 3-5 seconds to form a life ring.

The lifesaving throwing device is a high-performance rescue equipment with an operating pressure of 20 megapascals. It achieves a throwing distance exceeding 60 meters over water and 80 meters over land. with a rescue line breaking strength exceeding 4000 N. It operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C, while weighing only about 8 kilograms. Combining long-range capability, high strength, and environmental adaptability, it provides robust support for water rescue and disaster relief operations.

In the summer of 2024, heavy rainfall caused sudden urban flooding in a city in southern China, leaving a resident stranded on a car roof. Firefighters successfully deployed a buoyant rescue throwbag with a towline to the trapped individual using a pneumatic rescue thrower. They completed the remote tow rescue without entering the water, buying precious time.

The life-saving thrower rapidly and accurately delivers rescue equipment over long distances, significantly reducing preparation time and enhancing rescue efficiency. It enables rescuers to avoid approaching hazardous areas, minimizing personal risk and ensuring operational safety. Adaptable to diverse complex environments, this device expands rescue coverage. Its reliability and effectiveness boost rescuer confidence, empowering them to respond more efficiently to emergencies.
