It enables visual surveillance of potential hazards surrounding lines, ensuring reliable fault detection, elimination of latent risks, and prevention of unnecessary outages.

II. Working Principle

The Distribution Fault Visualization Device is suspended on power lines. When a fault occurs, it generates an instantaneous high-frequency disturbance at the fault point, accompanied by the formation of high-frequency traveling waves that propagate along the line in both directions. Since the propagation speed of these traveling waves is constant, measuring the time difference of wave arrival and combining it with the line's fundamental parameters enables the precise calculation of the fault location.
