Our company's developed online laser-based anti-external damage monitoring device for transmission lines can completely resolve the inability to promptly detect external damage from large construction machinery during illegal construction operations and theft issues. This significantly reduces power outage incidents caused by external damage and theft, minimizes the resulting economic losses, and enables more rational and effective personnel allocation to ensure the safe operation of power lines.

II. Working Principle

The laser-based anti-collision monitoring system for transmission lines employs dual detection and protection mechanisms: laser detectors mounted on towers and AI video surveillance. Primary protection: When the tower-mounted laser detector detects a crane exceeding height limits, it immediately triggers audible and visual alarms, signaling proximity to high-voltage lines and halting operations to prevent contact. Simultaneously, the alarm signal is transmitted via 5G/4G wireless to the central platform. Platform software can notify the dispatcher, while real-time video can be activated via mobile or computer to view the scene. Real-time voice announcements can also be made to promptly halt dangerous operations. Secondary Protection: Tower-mounted AI video cameras detect crane intrusion and immediately initiate recording, signaling unauthorized entry. The monitoring center issues real-time voice alerts to promptly halt hazardous operations.

Should a crane approach from below or the side and its upper structure contact the laser plane, an alarm is immediately triggered. This activates video recording and synchronized alerts in the crane cab, warning the operator of potential high-voltage contact. Unlike image recognition algorithms, laser scanning offers extended coverage distance and timely, precise responses. It addresses the limitations of image recognition, which may exhibit partial errors or false alarms, making it the most reliable and accurate detection method among current external intrusion prevention technologies.

3. Front-end AI video recognition and analysis capabilities enable comprehensive monitoring of the entire conductor corridor.
