According to the Central Meteorological Administration, Super Typhoon Connie, the 21st typhoon of the year, made landfall in Chenggong Township, Taitung County, Taiwan on the afternoon of October 31. With maximum sustained winds reaching Category 15 (48 meters per second), it is the strongest typhoon to hit Taiwan in nearly a decade. The typhoon is expected to cross Taiwan and enter the Taiwan Strait, gradually weakening in intensity.

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, Typhoon Connie, the 21st typhoon of the year, intensified into a super typhoon on the morning of October 30. With maximum sustained winds reaching Category 17, it is located 560 kilometers southeast of Taitung City, Taiwan Province, and is moving northwest at 15-20 kilometers per hour. Connie is forecast to make landfall in eastern Taiwan during the daytime on October 31 and then approach the coastal areas of Zhejiang and Fujian provinces.

According to China Weather Network, Typhoon Connie, the 21st typhoon of the year, formed in the northwest Pacific on October 25. It is currently moving west-northwest at 15-20 kilometers per hour and could intensify to super typhoon strength (52-58 meters per second, equivalent to Category 16-17 on the Beaufort scale).

The Hainan Provincial Meteorological Bureau issued a Level 4 typhoon warning at 15:30 on October 24: Typhoon Trami is currently at tropical storm strength. At 14:00, its center was located at 17.0 degrees north latitude and 120.4 degrees east longitude, approximately 850 kilometers east of Yongxing Island in Sansha City, over the eastern South China Sea. Maximum sustained winds near the center reached force 9 (23 meters per second).
